WHO ARE WE?
Us.....In a nutshell
We are a small business who build high quality bespoke campervans and motorhomes. Going into our 6th year of trading in 2020 we have been growing non-stop since the day we opened both in size and experience.
Follow the link below for short history of the business which shows how we progressed to where you see us today.
The team consists of just the 3 of us, we all possess a key element that are essential to how we like to portray the business model and that is passion for the work we do and a healthy appetite to succeed in all that we do.
Our core values differ from lots of companies, we do not and never will aim for high turn over in numbers but rather aim for fewer but much higher quality conversions for our customers. We offer Bespoke conversion services, truly bespoke unlike what you see with for example a simple choice of colours, you can practically design your van and with our guidance we will create the van you want. Too many offer "the Dream" yet you will be railroaded to accept a design that is preferred to build but not here at DC Leisure Vehicles.
Essentially we are 3 good mates who aim to enjoy our days of work, whilst creating some of the best van conversions available. Come and have a chat, we enjoy nothing more than talking about vans, caravans, cars we really are enthusiastic about it. (however best to book an appointment as we are very busy).
We offer to help those also who plan to work on their own vans, this is something we have always been open to do as we would always rather someone came to ask our advise and build a safer van for themselves, with this in mind we are planning a few video blogs/tutorials to help those wondering how to undertake certain elements of a conversion so keep an eye out!
There is only so much we can write about ourselves, the easiest thing to do would be to come along and have a chat, the kettle is always on!
MEET THE TEAM
Director and Chief Furniture Manufacturer
Paul has been into tinkering with cars for over 25 years. His youth was mostly spent messing with engines be it on his own VW polo, motorbike or someones else car from the numerous clubs he was part of. Paul was often known for helping out with many peoples engine conversions, driving around the country most weekends helping to swap out engines or change brakes/suspension or racing at the Santa Pod Race track. These days time off for Paul is mostly spent with his family, going away for weekends in the caravan are amongst his favourite activities and maybe one day the RV when its done!
Woodwork, Electrics and general DIY was always something that came naturally to Paul, he has a keen eye for detail and is always dedicated to finding the best solution for any given challenge.
As director of DC Leisure Vehicles Paul started the business over 5 years ago having completed his own Campervan to such a standard that it gained enough interest to start offering professional services.
Paul's biggest strength is his passion for building a very high quality campervan, its always quality first over speed aiming for the best possible finish every time.
Steve has been working with the company for nearly two years, however he has been involved on some level since the start, helping Paul with the first van build and spending some evenings helping Paul with things such as lifting roofs onto vans etc from an early stage.
You would find Steve mostly installing electrical systems into the vans and generally doing a bit of everything. Steve has a passion for anything he is involved with ensuring care is taken with any part of a van build.
Steve originally trained and graduated as a marine engineer so certainly has the skills and knowledge needed to overcome some of the most challenging tasks when it comes to building vans.Spending years in the technical theatre and corporate events industry alongside Paul means Steve can bring a whole host of skills to the business and has a keen eye to always offer the next best bit of kit available for van builds from stunning ambient lighting installs to complex automated electrical systems.
In his spare time Steve loves spending time with his family but can also be seen under the bonnet of a van or car tinkering away.
John started with us in 2019, and although coming from a different line of work John possesses a very keen attitude towards learning and has a passion for achieving high standards in all that he does.
Having run a business repairing alloy wheels and have a huge interest in cars in general the "petrol head" in John certainly helps him fit into the position perfectly.
In his spare time John is an avid family man spending time with his wife and kids and is also a keen gamer.
You will find John working hard on cutting van windows in, fitting roofs, floors and basically preparing the vans for the second stage of conversion.
John has become an essential part of the team working very well with Paul and Steve and completes the perfect team to build your van.
